Our Past Livestock Guardian Dog Puppies ~

Our last entire LGD litter found their forever-farms in May 2025, we are so thankful for all the wonderful families and farms that our LGD pups were matched with!
Livestock Guardian Dogs are serious about their job and need the right environment to thrive and be happy. We committed to finding each puppy the right match for the right job, farm, and family. Our last entire LGD litter found there forever-farms in May 2025; we are so thankful for all the wonderful families and farms that our LGD pups were matched with!
As of right now we do not plan on having another litter any time soon but are still available as a resource for those that would like more information on selecting, training and raising LGD breeds. We have kept this page active to serve as an example of what new prospective LGD owners should be looking for in a breeder when choosing a pup.
If you are actively searching for a LGD puppy, please make sure the breeder will include at the minimum:
Up to date vaccinations
Deworming
Micro-chipping
Two week health guarantee (including some type of Buyer Agreement & Seller Guarantee document)
Complete puppy profile folder (including socialization experience list, aptitude test, photos, vaccination & health records)
LGD puppy training resources and information
One week supply of their current diet to ease the puppy's transition
Access to the breeder for the life of the dog
These are some of the practices we implemented with our LGD pups (italicized):
“In return for our guarantee, we ask that buyers keep in touch regarding their puppy, especially if they have any concerns or have never raised a livestock guardian dog puppy before. Many problems can be averted with simple management changes (more details can be found in the Buyer Agreement & Seller Guarantee).
We perform puppy assessment tests at 7 weeks to gather information on personality & temperament as well using the 'Puppy's rule of 12' technique for socialization. The puppies currently are being raised around free range poultry, other LGDs and cats. We also regularly expose our LGD puppies to being on a leash, spending time in a crate and taking rides in a vehicle to ensure the success of each pup in their new home, and new world!
The puppies are not available to just anyone, they are not recommended for small yards or situations where barking dogs are likely to bother neighbors. If you would like to be considered for a potential match, please complete this form to tell us more about your livestock guarding needs and what you are looking for in a dog. We will then contact you shortly to set up a phone appointment.”
